Possible the most gorgeous dress we've ever had.
Sophisticated, sexy, shimmering. Made by Leeds costumiers Dacre & Finch in the early 1950's or possibly late 40's, the long skirt is a black satin crepe, almost like the moss crepe of the late 1960's whilst the body has an extraordinary ruched effect with the fabric given multiple folds and then crossed over to form the bust.
In addition the material to the left hip is gathered and raised to a small bowed bustle giving a truly sophisticated look and feel
Extraordinary tailoring in an astonising dress
