An amazing piece. A white ostrich feather cape circa 1930's.
In extraordinary condition, silken lining with light signs of age, no labelling at all but we're reasonably confident with the age, as far as we know it's UK made so unlikely to have been produced late 30's to early 50's. If foreign made (South Africa for instance where the feathers were likely to have originated)) it could be 1940's, early 1950's
It's made of layers of folded smaller feathers rather than fewer larger ones, creating a swaying, waterfall effect when in motion.
A really remakable one off which we're unlikely to see again.
