Louis Marx was the King of American tin toys in the 1950's at one time having 12 factories world wide, his reluctance to move into plastics eventually cost him but the best of his tin toys are very collectable.
This Junior Typewriter is a great example. The keyboard is only printed, the actual typing done by a single push bar with adjustable wheel for the letters.
It still works fine although needing a new ribbon. This, cleverly, is just a cut off from any normal ribbon.
