Framed 1980's oil painting of Great Budworth by Rene Cazier.
Cazier (or Ron Baker as he was known by his mother) was a Liverpool artist active from the 1950's onwards, even having his own art and art supplies shop in the 1960's.
An original oil, it was painted with a palette knife as I've tried to capture in the textures in the close up.
In excellent condition the artist has signed the back of the picture and labelled it as spring in Great Budworth, a beautiful village in Cheshire that has been used many times in film and TV due to its cobbled streets and 14th century church. The painting though is of a more rural country scene.
Cazier was a Liverpool artist, active from the 50's. We also have another of his paintings 'Mersey Texture'
