Beautiful 'folk-art' painted cupboard.
Made, we believe, in heavy, solid mango wood, in Northern India approx mid to later 20thC. The date is approximate as painted furniture has been made for centuries and is still ongoing today. We judge from style, weight, condition and signs of aging and use.
Painted primarily yellow with green and red fine details. The top and sides are decorated with religious icons.
Solid metal ring handles to open the doors exposing single solid shelf.
The cabinet shows some signs of wear in keeping with age but overall clean and solid.
