Product Description

Hong Kong had a thriving tourist industry whilst a British colony up until 1997.

For decades there were dozens of workshops with talented artists creating original oil paintings, often of the junks in Victoria harbour.

The differences were in size (although they were rarely huge, presumably as they'd be harder to take home), vibrancy of the image and the quality of the framing (I'd guess they were often sold unframed, again,  to ease transport)

Here's a great example, painted, if we read the signature right by K Fong of HK, 3 junks sailing into a sunset painted in abstract yellows and oranges. Painted with a great deal of skill and style too and then beautifully framed in hessian and teak.

All in great condition and measuring 54cm x 43cm and 4cm deep
