Product Description

Classic Gimson and Slater Rock'n'Rest chair.

Designed by Norwegian pair Rolf Rastad and Adolf Relling in the early 1960s and featuring a genius levered design enabling the chair to be both a rocking chair and a multi position recliner

Here offered with the original heavy duty upholstery in good condition (though we're happy to reupholster if desired) and even including the original weighted headrest.

The chair comes in solid oak, its a sculptural, curved design but actually the joints are quite thick and sturdy so the chair is still as strong and solid as when it was made.

All in very good vintage condition with the mechanism still superb but with some signs of wear to the seat pad and the arm rests.
