Long a staple of the retro and mid-century look, originals have been increasingly hard to source in useable condition, with complicated electrics and the fibreglass shell in particular wearing out over time.
We've seen some Chinese made copies more recently but they were truly flimsy and unlikely to last any longer now than 60 year old ones.
It's truly gratifying to be able to offer British made lamps of the highest quality. The fibreglass shell is the same height but thicker and heavier than the originals, with much sturdier fastenings. The teak legs and joins are immaculate, even down to details like the screw covers, finally the electrics are spot on, even complete with a floor on/off switch.
